Summer in November

Do you think Seattle is too cold?  Have you been daydreaming about summer lately?  Have you been spending hours a day at Starbucks sucking down hot beverages?  Are you tired of living life underneath your raincoat’s hood?  If so, I have an event for you!

On Saturday, November 21st we’re bringing summer back!  The event is called Summer in November.  We’re going to start off at the Shoreline Pool for 2 good hours of fun in an indoor, heated pool.  I can’t promise sun, but they do have bright fluorescent lights!  They also have a diving board, a rope swing, noodles, floating mats, and water basketball.  We’re reserving the whole place, so we don’t have to worry about sharing the pool with babies with water wings or scary old guys with back hair (except Reagan).

After our pool party, we’ll be heading over to the Odgers’ House for a BBQ!  We’ll be cooking up some tofu hot dogs and garden burgers and have a vegetarian extravaganza.  Ok, that’s not true.  Meat will be grilled.  In addition to eating, we’ll have some good hangout time to play ping pong, listen to music, chat it up, and play some games.

We’ll be meeting at the Shoreline pool at 2:30pm.  We’ll swim until 5, and will then head over to the Odgers’ for dinner.  You can get picked up at the Odgers’ house at 8:00pm.

All I need from you are $5 and 2 release forms (medical release form and student activity form).  We need you to RSVP to make sure that we have enough car space to transport people from the pool to the Odgers’ house, so please start inviting friends now so they can RSVP and get the forms (don’t just bring friends the day of the event).  To get the forms and RSVP, talk to your group leader or email reagan@marshillchurch.org.

Luke #9 - Jesus' Baby Dedication - 2:22-40

During his earthly life, the man Jesus Christ clearly, repeatedly, and emphatically declared himself to be the only God. This claim is without precedent or peer in the history of the world. Today, a few billion people who worship Jesus Christ as God believe that claim, making him the most significant person who has or will ever live. Luke’s gospel gives us the most detailed, historically accurate account of the man who is God.

Come join us at one of our various Mars Hill Campuses as we Investigate the Man Who Is God … in Luke’s Gospel
